Why is my airbag light on in my 2003 chevy cavalier?

I went to start my car this morning and the airbag light is on for no reason. ALso my stereo now says 'locked', I think it's the anti theft but the car hasn't been broken into and I haven't been in any wreck. Can someone tell me what's wrong? And how do I fix it?
