If an infection goes untreated what will happen?

I got my wisdom teeth out about 8 days ago. They gave me an anti biotic so I would not get an infection. After about 5 days being on the anti biotic I got alot of pain in my jaw and teeth and a gross taste in my mouth so I called my doctor. They prescribed another anti biotic that is strong to beat the infection. They gave me this today but I did not take it yet because you can not drink alcohol while taking the anti biotic. I'm going out saturday night to this party benefit dance thing and i had to buy tickets 40 dollars so I really wanan go and have fun. Is it a bad idea to leave taking my pills off till sunday which is (today, tomorrow(saturday). What the worse that could happen. I want to take them but I'm not sure.
